Challenge #6 - Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness

Welcome back to Stamp and Create!
This is the 2nd post today, so make sure to check out the Product Update post below...

It's time for a new Stamp and Create Monthly Challenge!!
I will be back shortly with the winner of the last challenge and the top 3.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Everywhere you look, there is pink!! And it is no exception here as well!
The challenge for this month is:
Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness (or an encouraging card).

If you don't want to make a breast cancer card, you can just make some sort of encouraging card (thinking of you, praying for you, way to go, etc...). But if you can add some pink, that would be great.

My neighbor is currently battling breast cancer. Actually, she seems to be doing quite well considering. She has completed chemo, a double mastectomy, and is almost done with radiation. However, since she tested positive for the BRCA gene, she has a greater risk for Ovarian cancer. Therefore, she is scheduled for a full hysterectomy in November. When that is done, she will have reconstruction surgery to complete the mastectomy. Basically, she is only half way through this LONG journey.

So, if you would like to send her your card, it would be greatly appreciated!! A few of the DT said they will send her a card. I know she would appreciate it.
Email me at LaceySoLiving@bellsouth.net and I will give you my address
(I will collect them all and give them to her).

Here are the awesome Design Team samples
(using the Product Spotlight images - Fairies and Angels)...

Joy used Flutter Anya from TGF...She decided to make a purse for this special occasion. October is breast cancer awareness month and so with that she colored her in pink and even used a pink ribbon symbol, bling and glitter. She used her top notes die to create the bag and the pretty circus polka dot ribbon for the handle.

Heidi made a card using Melinda Blowing Kisses for someone battling Breast Cancer. She used Basic Grey Olivia Paper, Kaiser Craft Snow Pearls, May Arts White Wrinkled Ribbon, May Arts Pink Crochet Ribbon, Prima Fairy Tale Pink Roses, and a card made by Heidi would not be complete without a Heart Charm!

She used the Say a Prayer Image from Wags n Whiskers and the coaster board label mini album available in the store to create it. She also used Green at heart and Indian Summer from Basic Grey, and Pink Silk ribbon. The inside includes comforting verses.

Jeanette used Whiff of Joy's Melinda Helping Angel to remind us that sometimes it is the gift of the small things that we do that can make a big difference in someone's life when they are battling breast cancer.
The paper is Basic Grey Bittersweet and the button is also Basic Grey.

(with an early sneak peek of the Wags 'n Whiskers release on friday)
This fairy is Iris from the upcoming Wags 'n Whiskers Fairy 2 release!!

Now it's your turn!!
This challenge is open through 12:00 noon, Sunday October 31

  2. Sorry to hear about your neighbour! You are so right about the journey - its akin to driving the freeway with 7 under 5's and two senile parents, an incontinent dog and a sparky cat for 8 months solid.
