Shimmerz Coaster Alphabet

I have another quick tutorial for you using Shimmerz products.
I created this layout last week and used custom made coaster alphabet for the title...
Here's a close up view of part of the title...
You can see the shimmer from the Shimmerz Vibez as well as the shine from the Glossy Accents to make this appear like glittery epoxy stickers.
To get started, I die cut my letters from a cuttlebug alphabet die from lightweight coasters. Then I evenly sprayed Shimmerz Vibez (Princess) on each letter...
In the picture above, I had only started. You would add more Vibez to completely color the coasterboard. I let it sit over night, but it doesn't take that long
After it dried, I added some glossy accents... In the photo above, I have covered the "r", "c", and half of the "t" with the glossy accents. The remaining letters to the right are just covered with the Shimmerz Vibez.
Here's a closeup of another title I created with the same Vibez...
The above picture was taken with a flash so you can see the shimmerz well. These letters only have the Shimmerz, not the glossy accents for a different look.
I hope that gave you another idea of what you can do with Shimmerz products!
Happy stamping!

Shimmerz Product Spotlight Week 2

Welcome back to Stamp and Create.
We are now on week 2 of the Shimmerz Product Spotlight.
As a reminder, all Shimmerz Products will be
on sale 25% off through June 6th.
Below are some more wonderful samples from the AWESOME design team!!
Here is Jeanette's card. She used CCDesigns Nora on Swing and paired it up with Basic Grey Cappella patterned paper and a Basic Grey clear button that is backed with more of the BG paper. She added Shimmerz in Angel Wings to the hair and Morning Mist to the wings. You can see the Shimmerz effect better in this photo:

Next we have Chris's card. Chris used Whiff of Joy-Henry with Broken Leg from the new Get Well Collection. She also used paper from the Basic Grey Wisteria Collection, Kaiser Craft Snow White pearls, butterfly charm, white silk ribbon, Labels 10 nestabilities and added Opal Shimmerz to the ears and cheeks and PearlZ Pearl Shimmerz on the cast and on the die cut butterfly. You may want to click on the photo to get a better view of the shimmerz.
Here's a card by Sharon...
Sharon used one of the stamps from the new Roll Call Kit by The Greeting Farm. Also used are papers from Cosmo Cricket Garden Variety, one of the brand new colors of May Arts Silk Ribbon, Kaiser red rhinestones, Prima Innocence Foxglove flowers, and Angel Wings Shimmerz.

And one from Lacey...This image is Lily Spring Fairy. Such a sweet doll!! I used some cameo primas, mini rose primas, silk ribbon, Kaisercraft pearls, paper doily, and Shimmerz Vibez (to create the background...see tutorial in the post below).

The Greeting Farm has a new release now available!
And don't forget about our first challenge which will run through May 6th.

Happy Stamping!

Shimmerz Masked background Tutorial

I have a quick tutorial for you today using Shimmerz Vibez Spray.
The difference between Shimmerz Spritz and Shimmerz Vibez is the intensity of the color...Vibez is stronger and darker while Spritz is more subtle color.
Here is a layout I created awhile ago. Using punched flowers as masks, I create the background paper...
Here is how I got that look...

To create the background, I punched a few flowers and layed them onto some white cardstock...

Then is sweeping motions, I sprayed Shimmerz Vibez (Blue Jeans)...

After removing the punched flowers, this is the design you get...

Once it dries (which only takes a few minutes), you can roll the paper flat again and add it to your card.

Such an easy way to get a custom and Shiney blackground!!

More Shimmerz samples

Welcome back to Stamp and Create!!

I have a few more projects to share with you using some of the Shimmerz products that are on sale this week for 25% off as our Product Spotlight!

First off is a card from Jeanette using some of the CC Design stamps from the last release...

This cute card using 3 of the CC Design stamps: Swiss Pixies Hansel with Big Flower, Swiss Pixies Field Fence, and Swiss Pixies Laying Nora. She also used some Basic Grey Green at Heart DP, new Ivory Silk Ribbon (2 new colors were just added to the store), and Basic Grey pearls.

Here is the inside of the card...

This is Swiss Pixies Butterfly Nora. Jeanette used Shimmerz on all of the pixie's wings, flowers, and on Butterfly Nora's eyes.

Jeanette says the front flap opens to expose a gift card holder!! Make sure to check out her blog for more pictures of her amazing card!

Here is a scrapbook layout I created a while ago. But it's a great example of how to use the Shimmerz Spritz and Vibez...

First I took some white 12x12 card stock and randomly sprayed Vibez (Princess). I love how it splattered!!

Here is the final layout...
Can you see the subtle spritz showing on the background?
Here's a close up of the title chipboard...
After diecutting the letters out of Lightweight Coaster, I completely clovered the letters with Vibez! Check out how sparkly it is in the light!!

Remember, all Shimmerz products will be on sale for 25% through June 6th. But grab them before they run out because I won't be able to get a restock order before the sale is over!

Shimmerz Product Spotlight

Welcome back to Stamp and Create.
It's time for another Product Spotlight.
For the next two weeks, we will be showcasing Shimmerz.
Shimmerz is a line of shimmery paints in either pots that you paint on or in mists that you spray onto your projects. The shimmer is more fine than typical glitter.
They can be added to colored images, flowers, or chipboard to add sparkle. They can be painted on chipboard letters to create custom "glitter" titles on scrapbook layouts. Or you can use a "mask" to create a wonderful custom design. There are so many possibilities.
Over the next two weeks, all Shimmerz products will be on sale for 25% off.

Here are some samples using Shimmerz from the design team...

Shimmerz Baby's Breath Spritz sprayed on the DP and the flowers. The Greeting Farm Roll Call Kit (this is Jade), Trellis Roses (Ivory), Mini Roses (Yellow), Ivory Silk Ribbon, and Basic Grey Origins DP.

Here is a picture taken with a flash to show the shimmer on the background paper...
Do you see how shinny it is in the light?! FYI, the image is shinny too since it's heat embossed.

I have a few other projects to share using shimmerz products that I will post throughout the week. Make sure to check back!!
Don't forget about our Monthly Challenge (Ribbon or Fibers) for a chance to win a $20 gift certificate.
And don't forget about our Weekly Wednesday Candy!!
Happy Stamping!!
